THE CHALLENGES

  • The Warden Call estate had to be made compatible with new digital/IP telecommunications networks

  • Identifying an upgrade strategy consistent with previous investments in digital infrastructure through a Jontek Control centre and Tynetec Reach IP dispersed alarms

  • Ensuring the selected partner had relevant digital experience and knowledge of Tynetec and Jontek environments

  • Full IP connectivity was required by the end of 2019

THE SOLUTION

  • Selection of Securus to install Tynetec XT2 systems to ensure compatibility with their existing estate and next generation (digital networks)

  • Creation of an end to end IP alarm transmission from dispersed and group environments to the Jontek Control centre

  • Detailed site surveys to ensure the selected solutions were the most appropriate and economic.

  • Installations in accordance with BS8604-1 Code of practice for design, installation and maintenance of social alarm systems in specialised grouped living environments

  • Warranty service delivered through the Securus Housing and Care Division engineering team and its 24x7x365 Service Desk

THE OUTCOMES

  • Partnership with Securus and Tynetec to deliver 6 fully IP hard wired social alarm systems using the NowIP protocol resulting in a fully digitally enabled social alarm portfolio

  • The most economical and appropriate solution

  • Confidence in a partner that could transition the estate to digital using a new to market product

  • A clear digital migration plan

  • Warranty provision via an approved Tynetec Partner
