The Securus Group rigorously maintains the following standards;

Security Systems

EN50131-1:2006+A1:2009  A suite of European Standards that relates to the design of Intruder and Hold Up Alarm Systems and its equipment. From the 1st June 2012, all new Intruder and Hold Up Alarms will be designed and installed to the EN50131:2006 standard in accordance with PD6662:2010 and BS8243 for police calling systems. All Intruder and Hold Up Alarm systems installed within the European Union must meet fundamental standards in order to be accepted by insurance companies and to be allowed to summon a police response. The European standard applicable to Intruder and Hold Up Alarms is the EN50131 series. In the UK, these additional standards are represented by PD6662 and BS8243 standards.

PD6662:2012  A document which describes how the European Standards for Intrusion and Hold Up Alarm Systems should be applied in the UK.

BS8243:2010 A code of practice for the installation and configuration of confirmed alarm conditions.

DD263:2010 A code of practice for the commissioning, maintenance and remote support of Intrusion and Hold Up Alarm Systems.

Fire Detection & Alarm

BS5839-1:2013  The Code of Practice and British Standard for the Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for Buildings.

BS5839-6:2013 The Code of Practice and British Standard for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems in domestic premises.

Emergency Lighting

BS 5266-1:2011 The Code of Practice and British Standard for the emergency escape lighting of premises.
